The Role

To deliver this vision, CitizenMe is seeking an ambitious and creative Data Insight Innovation Manager to join our London team to drive growth for our client data platform and consulting services. You will work as part of a skilled and multi-disciplined team, providing management and leadership across all phases of insight development and market research professional services.

This is a stretch role for someone with a minimum of five years professional experience working in market research or data science. You will be working closely with strategists, product managers, engineers and UX/UI designers, and you will be expected to contribute across a number of business areas. You’ll love this role if you are entrepreneurial, a strong communicator and have an inquisitive mindset.

You will be joining a cutting edge startup that is disrupting existing industries. You will be expected to play a large role achieving long term growth by building strong client relationships and delivering work of the highest standard. Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with clients delivering full service research consultancy including; conceptualisation, research design, fieldwork, insights interpretation and communication
  • Helping clients become comfortable with new ways of working, promoting agile methodologies for insight and using multiple data sources for insight purposes
  • Creating growth strategies for key clients, managing and developing close lasting relationships
  • Working as a small team, pro-actively taking the lead across core responsibilities and making independent recommendations for ways to grow and improve the business
  • Designing and writing reports for key client sectors, identifying where new reports could drive growth and engagement
  • Working with product, engineering and design teams to; help identify areas for digital product development by translating client needs into product feature requests, user testing, copy-writing, project management
  • Work with data scientists to develop CitizenMe’s machine learning capabilities for our own products and client outputs
  • Able to pass on experience to junior members of the company, on the importance of best practice to research whilst effectively teaching them how best to approach different research designs
  • Be passionate about the role of data and how it can help form a 360 degree view of people and the different markets

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in marketing research of data science role. Experience handling quantitative data sets is a must
  • Strong project management skills, constantly striving for the highest standards
  • Data literate. Able to ask the right questions about how statistics are created and how to interpret them. Be comfortable working with advanced analytical techniques like segmentation analysis and regression
  • Good working knowledge of sampling, sample quotas, designing questionnaires, structuring data and visualising impactful insights
  • Applying a creative approach to generating insights and an ability to tell stories with data
  • Good presentations skills; comfortable pitching and delivering presentations to senior stakeholders
  • Excellent written skills; clear, concise and analytical

Preferred Qualifications

  • Up-to-date understanding of key developments in the data economy (big data, personal data management, privacy, regulation e.g. GDPR) and developments in data science and AI
  • Entry level MRS or CIM professional certificate
  • Experience using multiple data sources within research projects

The Role

At CitizenMe, the Product Manager role is a cross-functional position which defines and delivers the right products for our clients and Citizens. This, London based, Product Manager will work collaboratively with internal teams, being the unifier for Business, Development, UX, Design and Community. This role will work to deliver our innovative platform throughout the entire product development lifecycle. Manage the product from vision, strategy, through roadmap to delivery and ongoing iterations for our Citizen, Client and AI platforms.

A successful Product Manager will establish a shared vision by building consensus on priorities leading to product execution. They have an innate ability to simplify complex and technical concepts and to plan, prioritize and seamlessly integrate all moving parts in order to frequently release high-quality applications and web based tools. They will bring a strategic perspective to projects as well as contribute hands-on in order to get things done.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and manage product roadmaps to realize business goals and strategies.
  • Help define the core product vision, goals, functionality and requirements.
  • Establish shared vision by building consensus on priorities leading to product execution.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams, user experience experts and engineers.
  • Create and maintain the product roadmap, feature backlog and product documentation.
  • Prioritize development activities with engineering team, assist in determining the best technical implementation methods, work closely with QA on acceptance testing and line up the schedule of  product launches.

Overview

CitizenMe is a London based start-up that aims to help people take control of their personal data and get value from it. This means putting data and the power of AI in the hands of people, not just organisations. We strongly believe that the data economy needs rebalancing. Personal data should not just be harvested and re-sold. Digital citizens should have control and be able to form trusted data relationships with brands, which will lead to stronger customer relationships.

Job Description

The CitizenMe team is looking for a colleague who can lead the test effort across mobile apps, web apps and backend services. We are looking for a person who is hands-on, happy to work with us in a lean & Agile start-up sense, who is happy to experiment often, is metrics-driven and takes a holistic view of the offering.

We are offering our colleagues a very varied and cutting edge environment with an opportunity to truly grow and be a voice amongst equals from day one. There is also an opportunity for part ownership at an early stage of the company.

The role will be based in London or Istanbul. Our teams work remotely in hubs. Situation permitting, we gather once or twice a month as part of our 2-week sprint process to help us plan and align our work across multiple work streams.

Skills & Requirements

  • Experience of translating user stories, requirements and specifications into test cases with developers and act as a “customer”

Job Description

The CitizenMe team is looking for a colleague who can continue to build out and refactor our API, which is used by both our Citizen mobile apps and Client apps offerings. Skills & Requirements

  • Extensive Java (8+) experience. Ideally some python (3+) or other languages (javascript, java) experience
  • Experience with API design and API design (anti-)patterns; in particular with REST and ideally GraphQL
  • Experience of security and Internet-facing applications. This includes security posture, availability and fault tolerance considerations. Monitoring, contextual logging and alerting experience
  • Understanding of and ideally experience with AWS API Gateway, Swagger and authentication integration
  • Knowledge of and experience with AWS. In particular: Lambda & Serverless Application Model (SAM) and API Gateway – and ideally Docker
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Delivery/Deployment

Job Overview

We are looking for a Data Scientist in London or Newcastle who will support our product and marketing teams, plus our Citizens (users) and Clients with insights gained from analyzing ‘Citizen’ data. The ideal candidate is adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. They must have strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations. They must have a proven ability to drive business results with their data-based insights. They must be comfortable working with a number of stakeholders and functional teams. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets, pushing the limits of creating and running algorithms at ‘the edge’ on mobile devices and working with stakeholders to improve Citizen, Client and personal, business and social outcomes.

Skills and Responsibilities for a CitizenMe Data Scientist

  • Desire to explore and execute cutting edge, ethical data models, data science analytics mechanisms and citizen data science tools for Citizens, commercial Clients and non-profits such as health researchers.
  • Strong Maths and Comp Sci with up to date data science skills.
  • Work with stakeholders through the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging Citizen data to drive Citizen, Client and CitizenMe business insight and personalisation solutions
  • Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.
  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
  • Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
  • Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, personalisation and other business outcomes.
  • Develop company A/B testing framework and test model quality.
  • Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.

Qualifications for Data Scientist

Essential:

  • Strong problem solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
  • A Master’s or PHD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or other quantitative field
  • 2-4 years of experience
  • Strong Maths / Comp Sci (e.g. bayes, complexity)
  • Up to date Data Science Skills
  • 1 Data Language (preferably Python)
  • Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SLQ, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
  • Experience manipulating data sets and building statistical models
  • A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.

Desirable:

  • Experience working with and creating data architectures.
  • Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
  • Familiar with the following software/tools:
    • At least one programming language with coding knowledge and experience of several other languages: C, C++, Java, JavaScript, etc.
    • At least one data language (preferably python)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain our mobile application,
  • Optimizing the performance of our application,
  • To contribute to the development of solutions together with the team against general technological problems encountered as part of the Engineering team
  • Follow the software development lifecycle and software development practices of the company
  • Rich software development cycle including distributed version control, automated build and automated code analysis systems and code reviews

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • 1+ year(s) of iOS Application development, capable to design, develop and test iOS application
  • Knowledge of , Objective-C, Swift
  • Technical capability and ability to understand application architecture and best-practices for iOS development
  • Experience with third-party libraries and REST APIs (e.g. Alamofire),
  • Knowledge of app submission process
