Like all good conversations you should try and keep that conversation personal and relevant to who it is you’re talking to. Logic is a feature you can use with most survey providers. It is a simple set of instructions that are predetermined by the survey creator to make sure the right people see the right questions.
For example, if you’ve asked this question:
Q1 Have you ever travelled outside of Europe?
1.Yes
2.No
3.Don’t know
Then you should only show Q2 to people who answered ‘Yes’ to Q1. Applying logic to the question will help you achieve this.
Q2 What is your favourite country that you’ve visited outside of Europe?
1.India
2.Vietnam
3.Fiji
4.Borneo
5.Mexico
6.Thailand
7. Other
If you don’t personalise your survey using logic then respondents will think you’re not listening to them and you’ll lose their attention.
