Citizens can participate in creating insights that they might find useful for themselves and can then use to share with organisations anonymously. Everything is citizen centric; that is the power of the platform. Everything that is shared is done so with explicit concern. If you look at it, there are actually two levels of consent. If you join a community which could be your favourite supermarket, the supermarket will reveal its name. Because they have revealed their brand, you – as an individual in that community – also want to reveal more about who you are. It is a reciprocal dropping of anonymity but you have to do that with layers of trust which is reciprocal.
This is just the fourth bit of our story, so watch out for the next part! If you want to check out the video clip version, click here. And if you missed the third interview clip, check it out here.
